The Heritage Cookbook Project is getting a little revamp. I have recently fallen in love with the process of creating illustrations. Specifically food and recipe illustrations. There is something about an illustration that feels more accessible and creates a connection other media can’t. To me, the handcrafted nature of an illustration suggests thoughtfulness mixed with a little bit of sentimentality.
I’ll still focus on how recipes and foods connect, define, and inspire. But it will be more often than not through a visual narrative.
Something like this:
Are there any recipes that you have co-opted, adapted, adopted or shared that help to define your traditions or culture?
What you can expect:

A Weekly visual narrative post about recipes, vintage cookbooks, or general food musings
Patron subscribers:

If you would like to further support this project, there are a couple of ways that you can become a patron subscriber. Choose one of the paid tiers here, purchase something from my Amazon wish list, or buy me a tea - I know it says Buy Me a Coffee, but I’m a tea gal.
If you aren’t able to support monetarily, sharing this with a friend really helps to grow our delicious community.
